Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that loved music. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as older boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. While a student, and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. After 2000, she emigrated into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for art and music has her active in a variety of projects. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in The Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing traditional Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
