MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been affected by his global impact. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. He was a part of the team alongside Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared in a duo with TINI for her hit stream song Maldita Foto. 2000, which featured the smash song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical household his mother and older brother are musicians. In interviews, Turizo has stated that music is a must. He was taught how to play guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was when he was a child. While his initial career choice was becoming a vet, the brother Julian advised him to go for singing classes with a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift in the field of singing changed his entire life.
