Rosalia
Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is a Spanish Flamenco/Pop performer. Since her teen years she's been involved with the edges of both popular and traditional music. Additionally, she explores genres including hip-hop, trap and soul. Her voice has been described by no less a talent than flamenco guitarist Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet however with a bit of bite similar to older versions. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit making it to the top of Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually getting a Grammy. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami the third album by her, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The album came out in 2022 because of the Saturday Night Live appearance by the famous singer Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish artist to perform solo in the program. Motomami the album by Rosalia that won the three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female singer to receive the Latin Album of the Year be awarded twice.
